Warriors and guests gather for the installation of officers and Broken Arrow Ceremony for fallen warriors in the previous year, followed by a formal lunch and an address by a distinguished historian. It is a joint meeting co-hosted by the Sons of Liberty Chapter, Sons of the American Revolution.

In some years, we have a special meeting for warriors and guests at various locations. We have lunch, and a scholarly presentation on a colonial-era topic.

Members and guests of associated groups hold brief meetings prior to the lunch and main program. Current groups include Order of the First Families of Maryland, Order of the Founders and Patriots of America, Society of the War of 1812, Military Order of Foreign Wars of the United States, and Jamestowne Society.
The California Society, in conjunction with the General Society of Colonial Wars, awards a scholarship of $5,000 annually for graduate level colonial research at the Huntington Library, Art Museum, and Botanical Gardens in San Marino, California.
