To Perpetuate the Memory
of Colonial America

Fortiter Pro Patria

The Society of Colonial Wars in the State of California honors those ancestors who, in military or civil service, assisted in establishing the American colonies from the settlement of Jamestown in 1607 to the battle of Lexington in 1775.

Pillars of the Society

Heritage, Scholarship, Fellowship

I

Heritage

We honor our forebears who shaped the colonies through military service, civil leadership, and steadfast sacrifice.

II

Scholarship

Through grants, lectures, and historical research, we preserve and share the chronicle of colonial America.

III

Fellowship

Members gather throughout the year for meetings, lectures, and convivial discourse.

An Invitation

If your lineage reaches the colonial era, your seat awaits.

Membership is by descent from an ancestor who rendered service to the British American colonies between 1607 and 1775. We welcome inquiries from those who wish to establish their right of descent.
